Question 1

What does Freqium play?

Accepted Answer

Freqium plays specific sound tones (measured in Hz) intended for sleep, calm, and focus. Different ranges are associated with different states — delta (1-4 Hz) for deep sleep, theta (4-8 Hz) for meditation, alpha (8-14 Hz) for relaxation, and gamma (30-100 Hz) for focus.

Question 2

Is frequency listening clinically proven?

Accepted Answer

Brainwave entrainment — the brain synchronizing to external audio stimuli — is documented in auditory neuroscience since the 1970s via EEG studies. The Frequency Following Response (FFR) is consistently replicated. That is not a clinical-proof claim. Each Freqium frequency is labeled Emerging, Traditional, or Speculative.

Question 3

What frequency is for calm?

Accepted Answer

432 Hz is the most commonly studied tone we offer for calm. People use it to slow down and feel calmer. Freqium offers a free 432 Hz Find Calm session.

Question 4

What is the best frequency for sleep?

Accepted Answer

Delta frequencies (0.5-4 Hz), particularly 1.5 Hz, are associated with deep sleep. The Schumann resonance (7.83 Hz) is often used for grounding. Freqium's Deep Sleep Protocol combines both.

Question 5

Do I need headphones for Freqium sessions?

Accepted Answer

Yes, headphones at a low, comfortable volume are recommended. They are required for binaural pairs (one tone per ear), which the iOS app uses for frequencies under 20 Hz and the landing page demos use.

Question 6

Is Freqium free?

Accepted Answer

Freqium offers a 15-minute guest session on any of the 27 frequencies, no account needed. Membership removes the limit. Two launch offers until Nov 30, 2026: Monthly at $9/month instead of $29, kept for as long as you stay subscribed (or $69/year instead of $290), and Founding Lifetime at $79 once for the first 100 members. After that, membership is $29/month or $290/year.
